Doug Kleine replied to Michelle Allen's discussion 'Inclusionary programs and high HOA fees' in the group Inclusionary Zoning Administration

Permanent Affordability

Thumbnail
Hello and Happy Holidays,Does anyone know of programatic solutions to how permanent affordability will be maintained in aging condominium projects? We can see rehabing single family homes once they reach the end of their useful life but condos pose challenges. Most condo buildings are eventually bought en mass for reconfig. and rehab. permanent ownership deeds make this challenging unless the deed is released.M.See More

In some cases these are special assessments, some are co-housing and other highly amenitized projects. Does anyone have examples of ways to deal with high fees? Rick,If you read this, have you done or do you know of any research in this area. Thanks!See More
