Promoting Affordable and Fair Housing Near Transit, Job and Town Centers - 7/26 webinar

On Tuesday, July 26 at 3:30 pm ET, the Sustainable Communities Network will host a webinar on Promoting Affordable and Fair Housing near Transit, Job and Town Centers.

Tune in to hear from practitioners who are taking steps to ensure that housing for families at all income levels is available in location-efficient and opportunity-rich areas. Following an overview of tools available to create and preserve affordable homes in areas where transportation costs are likely to be low, participants will learn how some of these tools have been implemented in Denver, Colorado as Denver expands its public transportation system.

This session will also include a discussion of policies and legal decisions that help to ensure communities create their fair share of homes for low- and moderate-income families in New Jersey, as well as strategies to build public support for well-located affordable homes and an overview of tools available for further learning.

Speakers include:

  • Adam Gordon, Staff Attorney, New Jersey Fair Share Housing Center
  • Jeffrey Lubell, Executive Director, Center for Housing Policy
  • Melinda Pollack, Vice President, Enterprise Community Partners
  • Abigail Thorne-Lyman, Project Director, Reconnecting America
