Cohousing, a housing model that offers individuals and families of all ages a community-based living situation, seems to share similar ideals to community land trusts that could provide natural synergies for partnership. Are you aware of any examples where cohousing communities have developed via a community land trust (or other shared equity mechanism) to to promote affordabiltiy within the cohousing community?
Check out www.gfhouse.org. It is a 9 unit community co-op in Grand Forks ND, with two shared kitchens. The co-op pays $600/month in rent to socially conscious individual lenders in what is a long term lease-purchase arrangement.
Stone Soup in Chicago is another example of a community co-op on leased land. A converted convent.
