We are looking for examples of how communities have incorporated IZ ordinance requirements into project fact sheets submitted for development applications. I would appreciate any ideas and feedback about how this has worked in other communities.

Thank you,

Hello Loryn,
Here in Boulder Co, we have them submit a separate preliminary IH (inclusionary housing) form with the land use application. There are also handouts in the planning dept and on-line with the IH requirements. IH is implemented and administered by the housing division not planning and is not reviewed through plannings site review process. When an application is submitted, the developer may not understand all of their options so the initial submittal is just their first guess on how they would like to meet the requirement which is why it is a preliminary. Once they are in for review and have discussed the requirement with a housing planner we complete the form that is the final affordable housing agreement.
I hope this was helpful,

Thanks, Michelle. I'll look for your documents online.
