Hello all,
I'm part of a research team at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Research Institute looking at the intersections between home foreclosure and child maltreatment rates. As part of our background research, we are looking to see if there are any programs out there that couple traditional foreclosure counseling services with family support services/counseling/referrals to social services. These could be individual agencies, state programs, county programs, etc--we are just looking for a few examples. So far, we have only been able to find programs that are merely colocated with family supports--e.g. the foreclosure counseling program is nested within a larger community assistance agency--but no programs that systematically include checks for family wellbeing in their program. If anyone has any knowledge of such programs--or any other insights relevant to this question--we would be very appreciative to hear about them.
Many thanks in advance! Glad that this forum is available as a resource.
