Hi
I am looking for city, state or county foreclosure prevention networks. CNYCN is a NYC based foreclosure prevention network of housing counseling, outreach and education and legal service agencies. We'd like to meet with similar networks to share ideas and develop successful models. Please let me know if you're interested in this type of collaboration.
Thanks,
Jennifer Murphy

Legal Objective is a San Diego Law firm focused on foreclosure-related litigation, bankruptcy and business litigation. We are accredited by the State Bar of California for our seminar, Foreclosure Prevention & Real Estate Debt Relief Law, which has been viewed by over 500 California attorneys, real estate professionals and homeowners. We are hoping to have the seminar available to other interested parties through webinars or webcasts soon.

We are interested in networking with other groups on similar issues. Please keep us updated.

Jennifer,

In late 2007, a coalition of groups in Essex County, New Jersey came together to address the growing foreclosure problems in the area. Under the banner of the Newark/Essex Foreclosure Taskforce, the group consists of non-profits, municipalities, state and federal agencies, legal service agencies, Rutgers University, funded by the Victoria Foundation, etc.

You can contact the Taskforce Coordinator Audrey Washington @ audrey@wcgroup.org or Stephanie Greenwoods @ greenwoods@ci.newark.nj.us.

Hi Jennifer,

I'm the Co-Director of the Michigan Foreclosure Task Force - a statewide coalition of housing counseling agencies, legal service providers, community development organizations, state and local government agencies and elected officials, and private sector partners - that is focused on fighting foreclosure in Michigan. For more information about the Task Force, you can check our our website: http://cedam.info/resources/mftf/, or email me directly: Nuszkowski@cedam.info.

Citizens Planning and Housing Association and the Baltimore Homeownership Preservation Coalition are working on foreclosure prevention outreach in Baltimore City. The BHPC is working on legal and policy related foreclosure prevention.
Jennifer:

GreenPath has 7 offices within New York City. GreenPath is a HUD approved housing counseling agency which provides foreclosure prevention counseling as well as pre-purchase counseling and more. We also provide education within the community and have a full time staff person who coordinates this within the City. GreenPath is part of the Long Island Housing Coaltion: The New York State Coalition for Excellence in Homeownership Education and Counseling, Long Island Regional Chapter.

We would love to network!

I'd like to second Tammy's comment above. I coordinate the activities of the Baltimore Homeownership Preservation Coalition and would be interested in hearing more. BHPC works on outreach to city residents, education of public officials, and training for practitioners - this includes research, data collection, and collaboration with many other groups (housing counseling agencies, legal service agencies, CDCs, local and state govn't, local and state realtors associations, etc.). In 2011, we'll also be working with our state housing counselor's network on a statewide pilot escalation program, somewhat modeled after your lender/servicer relations program.

Our website is a constant work-in-progress, but you can check it out here: http://www.preservehomeownership.org/ Please feel free to email me at mmishaga@bncbaltimore.org for more information!
