Is anybody aware of a database or list of regional housing plans or the regions that have produced such plans? Are any organizations keeping track of this? Any information would be helpful. Thank you!

This is Tom Cusack,Oregon Housing Blog.

Our Metro Portland (Oregon) regional government has boku plans; Two housing related efforts

Latest was called Regional Housing Choice, and earlier version was Regional Affordable Housing Strategy.

As former HUD Oregon Field Office Director, I sat on both advisory groups that developed these plans.

The Utah Department of Community and Culture has a database of Utah's "moderate income housing plans" (a state mandate in the weakest sense of the term) and has preduced a report measuring the quality of each of them. The database is not online and I'm not sure the report is either, but you can call Clayton at 801.538.8730
In Atlanta, several housing-related organizations (including the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC), our regional planning organization) created www.atlantaregionalhousing.org, a website designed to serve as a clearninghouse for all data, reports, research, statistics, etc.....related to mixed income and affordable housing in the region. This would be the ideal site to upload regional plans, etc... We issue quarterly newsletters from the site targeting the mixed income and affordable housing community. The effort is a partnership between ARC and Atlanta Neighborhood Development Partnership (ANDP) with funding support from the Greater Atlanta Homebuilders Association, SouthFace Energy Institute, the Urban Land Institute, the Georgia Department of Community Affairs, and Progressive Redevelopment, Inc.
Hi: I'm Sala and am working on a research project for the Minnesota Housing Partnership. The legislature has suggested that Minnesota create a state-wide housing plan to assist them in sorting through priorities each year. Do any of you have such a plan in your state? Though the focus is on affordable housing and how state funding resources are used it doesn't need to exclude private resources or market-rate housing that responds to the state's economic needs. I would be grateful for any information or leads.

Also it looks as if your regional plans are lead and financed by a variety of sources.

Thanks
Sala: You may want to take a look at Connecticut's Long Range State Housing Plan (2005-2009): http://www.ct.gov/ecd/lib/ecd/2005-2009_slrhp.pdf. In addition to a housing needs assessment and housing market analysis, the plan describes key strategic goals (Encouraging Homeownership, Expanding the Supply of Quality Affordable Housing, etc.) and specific steps to achieve those goals. Authors of the plan also identify dedicated State resources for affordable housing.
