I am trying to find information on ways that jurisdictions are addressing the conversion of motels into long-term housing. This is happening in a California county in both rural and urban areas without the benefit of permits, causing densities that exceed allowable density ranges and making it difficult to legalize these structures or address maintenance and upkeep. Can anyone offer some tools or solutions for this issue? Thanks!
