Is anyone aware of any municipal ordinances that require a mix of apartment types, including larger apartment units, within multifamily development projects? (Besides San Francisco's Planning Code section 207.6.) Or codes providing developer incentives for including "family-sized" units in projects? Specific citations would be much appreciated. Thanks!
I don’t have a cite handy, but I believe that Vancouver, B.C. requires that new residential developments include units of a size and design suitable for families. I’ve attached their ‘family-friendly’ housing design guidelines.
